A couple of layouts...

The first layout I have to show you today is from a Papermaze crop kit from a couple of months back now, it was designed by the lovely Lou Collins. I've kept it pretty much the same as the original this time!

This page used the technique of paint flicking, which I hadn't done since GCSE art several years ago! I will have to try it on another layout soon, it was good fun!

Next up...my latest twisted sketches layout....this week's twist was twine, which I am really enjoying using at the moment! You can see the sketch and the rest of the DT's layouts here!!

I used a picture from a mini-cruise hen weekend that I went on earlier in the year, we had so much fun!

I have lots of catching up to do with my own scrapping at the mo, so the scrapbooking weekend that I am going on at the end of the month, couldn't come at a better time!

One of my best friends recently got married, I have been making her a whole album, on the wedding...including hen party/weekend, bridal shower, making invites, wedding diary and actual wedding pictures...it was great fun to make and she was so pleased with it, it's a lovely feeling! But I have to say I'm glad that I can get back to my own work now! I will show you some of the album later on in the week!

Thanks for looking!

Twisted Sketches no:120

So here is my layout for sketch 120 over at twisted sketches this week.

You can see the sketch and the rest of Team A's layouts here

This time I flipped the sketch around and used the twist of 'buttons' for embellishments.

This layout is all about Lee and Jack and their obsession with golf! I have a few pictures of them playing, but this is the first layout I have done.

I used Echo Park 'Happy Days' papers.

I have just been blog hopping for the new scrapbooking mag that is coming out in the UK soon...have you heard about it? It's called scrap365. I'm looking forward to getting the first copy when it comes out! If you haven't heard about it yet, check it out here and you can take part in their blog hop to meet the Design Team.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends!

It's been a few weeks...

Since I last posted on my poor neglected blog, so I thought it was about time for a catch up!

I always find that the weeks over the summer just fly by...every weekend at the moment just seems jam packed!

Scrapping update: I'm staying on for another term at Twisted Sketches, there a several new girls too, you can see the announcement here!

It's my last month on the Butterfly Crafts blog and the August Challenge is up..I'd like to say thank you to Karen for having me on your team for the last 6 months, I've really enjoyed the challenges! Here is my last layout, this month we were working from a sketch....

Now for a non-scrapping update, We've had a busy few weeks and the calendar isn't looking any different for the next few weeks either! We have celebrated Jack's 3rd birthday, followed by a week off, spending lots of days all together...here he is at his party...

We've also celebrated a family wedding, my boys looking very handsome on the day...

Today we are celebrating our nephews birthday with a party later! Although it's been busy, I've still had some scrapping time and gone to a couple of crop days, so more to share with you soon. I have a few layouts ready for photographing, just need it to stop raining here!!!

Have a lovely weekend whatever your doing!

This Week's...

Twisted Sketches sketch is up on the blog and here is my layout....

This week's twist was 'shine'...so I chose to make a sunshine...

This picture was taken on holiday in Spain this year and I have used Echo Park papers..

Yesterday was my birthday! I had a lovely day...I worked in the morning and had the whole nursery come in to my room to sing happy birthday, followed by a card, prezzie and a 'new look' (UK Clothes shop) bag shaped cake...amazing! I then went to a local spa for the afternoon with Lee which was lovely to chill out just us two! I had dinner in the evening with family and more cake!! Pictures appearing on layouts soon I'm sure!

Back to Reality...

Well the last few weeks have been pretty hectic here...on Sunday we came back from our holiday to Spain...so I have alot of crafty catching up to do!! But it's ok...I have a whole day of scrapping this weekend and in a couple of weeks a whole weekend of it!!

Anyway for now I will share with you my last Twisted Sketches layout...the theme was 'Celebrate' as it was the 100th skecth! I decided that I wanted to theme my layout on the recent royal wedding that we have had here in the U.K. It was such a big and historic day for our country and I really enjoyed watching it, so I felt it needed scrapping!!

Thats all on the crafty front for now, but I have more assignments to be catching up with!

Here are some of my holiday snaps that will soon be making there way onto some layouts and into a holiday album!

Twisted Sketches 93...

Afternoon all, it's such a lovely day here today. We have just been to one of our local parks for the last few hours with some friends, it's been so nice and no jackets or coats needed..finally spring is here! Yay! I also got some lovely pictures, which will soon be appearing on some layouts I'm sure...
...Anyway on with this week's Twisted Sketches (93) you can see the sketch and the rest of the Design Teams layouts here..why not have a go? I enjoyed this weeks sketch and the twist was 'swirl' so I decided to get my sewing things out...here is my layout...

I have used an old picture of me and the 'little girl' line from Echo Park! Along with a bit of glimmer misting and of course the sewing to create the swirls.

Thanks for looking..have a lovely day!

~ Hopscotch ~

For a while now I haven't really loved any of the Basic Grey lines, but when I first saw their latest line - Hopscotch - I was in love...it's so my style and really pretty! A few weeks ago I used it to make my first layout for Twisted Sketches....

But this next layout is my latest page using the range...

I have used some Prima flowers and some of the element stickers that are in the collection.

Hope your all having a lovely weekend and getting some scrapping time in too!
