Noticeboard...

Here is a little something that I made for Jack's nursery teachers for their Christmas present. It is something that all of the teachers can use every day in their classroom, so I thought it would make a great gift for them. Their room is called 'Owl's' so it is the 'Owl's Noticebaord'!

I brought a normal white board from a shop called 'the range', although you can get them everywhere including supermarkets.
I then went to another shop called 'Paperchase' and brought some Owl stickers and a pen.

To make the noticeboard this is what I did:
  1. I brought a pack of notepads, tor out all of the sheets from one book. I used a EK Success punch along the top of each one. I then used a stamp on them saying 'Just a not to say...', I then used some of the Owl stickers from 'Paperchase' to decorate.
  2. I then created a pocket for the sheets of note paper to be stored in. I used some Echo Park paper, punched a scalloped boarder along the top of it and then simply used glue dots to stick the side and bottom edges to the noticeboard.
  3. I added a piece of ribbon to the pen that I brought and attached it to the back of the noticeboard.
  4. I brought some pink magnets from my local supermarket and added an Owl sticker to each of them.
  5. One of the black corners fell off and got lost while I was making the noticeboard, so I had to cover up that corner with something. I went for a day of the week spinner. I made this by cutting two circles the same size using a giant circle punch. I then measured out 6 sections (I wanted 5 but 6 was so much easier) I then named each section with the 5 days of the week and the sixth just saying 'weekend'. I held them together using an Echo Park Brad to coordinate with the paper.
Here are some pictures...

Top 11 of 2011 Post

A little later than planned, but I'm back with my top 11 of 2011...So here goes....

I created this first layout for a scrapbooking weekend in May 2011, the class went well and I was pleased with this layout.

This layout was created for Butterfly Crafts, using a poster as inspiration. The butterfly's are made by Wendy McKee.

This layout was a just because layout, bright and summery with some Echo Park.

In May I went away on a mini-cruise for a friends hen weekend, We had lots of fun, and I enjoyed scrapping this picture of us using Cosmo Cricket, which went perfectly.

This was my very first layout of 2011, using EP Wintertime and a picture of my little man in the snow a few weeks before. I posted it on Two Peas and was thrilled that it gave me my first most liked and viewed layout.

This is a layout created using a twisted sketches sketch, I wouldn't normally use two circles like this, twisted sketches has really made me adapt my style this year.

A professional photo of my little man using Echo Park...again! Defiantly my favourite manufacturer of the year.

This layout was created at the start of 2011, I created it to apply for the Twisted sketches design team and it was the layout that won me the spot on the team.

One of my more recent layouts, again using a Twisted Sketches sketch, a bit of glimmer misting and paint on this layout which I have really got into using this year.

This layout is a kit that was created by Lesley at papermaze for one of their monthly crops, so I cannot take the credit, although slightly adapted. This is defiantly my favourite kit page of the year!

11th and final layout, this was my first layout on the DT for Twisted Sketches, this was also one of the first times that I'd had a play with my glimmer mists.

Thanks for looking at my top 11 of 2011!
2011 was defiantly a good scrappy year for me, I have been lucky enough to join 2 design teams and had great fun on both Butterfly Crafts and Twisted Sketches.
This year, I have a new venture that I am looking forward to sharing with you over the next month or so!
All the best for 2012....thanks for stopping by!
