~ Create and Co Crop Day ~

Just a quick post today!
I have lots of share about my day at the first Create and Co crop (run by the scrapagogo ladies)
It was a lovely day, and we were really spolit with 5 different classes and a lucky dip prize.
I have yet to take pictures myself of the layouts and classes items that I made so I will be back with another post on that!
But for now please have a look at the post on the create and co blog from Saturday, which features two of the layouts I made along with a few snapshots of the day!
See you soon!

A trip down memory lane blog challenge...

I was asked to take part in the 'Ingredients Challenge' on the A trip down memory lane blog in June. I jumped at the chance to take part and my parcel of 'ingredients' arrived on Monday morning...and by Monday afternoon (while watching the finale of Lost and while my little man was having a rather long sleep) i'd completed my page!
I could only use the items that had been sent to me (barr the usual essentials, adhesives, stamping, sewing etc) so it was a bit of a challenge but I really enjoyed doing it!
So here is a sneak peak of my layout and the 'Ingredients Challenge' should be up on the A trip down memory lane blog in a couple of weeks!

On Saturday I am off to this! Should be fun! I will be back with my layouts and the classes from the day!

~ Midnight walk 2010 ~

Hi!
Just popping in with a picture post! I took part in the 'Midnight Walk' for St Elizebeth Hospice on Saturday night, along with a few of the girls from work. We started at 11pm and finnished 1:50am so we did the 8 mile walk in 2 hours 50mins - not too bad going I don't think!
We started at the football ground...

..and had a stop at the fire station and had a quick photo with some firemen!
We took a photo at each mile sign..here we are at 3 miles..nearly halfway!

Just after the 5th mile, there were topless men to keep us going with buscuits!

..and here we are with our medals back at the football ground!

Well done ladies! Fab night!

Will be back with a blog challenge that I am taking part in!

~ My Baby Boy ~

Today I am just pooping in to show you my 9th layout from the weekend, which I started but needed to add some finnishing touches to!
Here it is finnished...

I used a mixture of two October Afternoon ranges ~ Thrift Shop and Fly a kite. I also used a Basic Grey Basics background sheet. I got the idea for the rainbow from this page. I am really into rainbows and clouds and sunshines that the mo - perfect for this time of the year.

I did'nt think that the colour of the blue tag went with the other colours on this page, so I made it so it could be tucked in and pulled out to read. It therfore didn't stand out as much, I wanted to include it as its important information!

Thanks for Reading

~ My little Shoebox DT Call ~

A little while ago I showed a few sneak peaks of some pages that I had been working on...you may have noticed that they used lots of MLS products! Well thats because I was making them for the My little shoebox DT Call, which I entered into last week. I am pleased with all of my projects, we had to make 2 layouts, 1 card and 1 project, but I did 2 projects beacuse I didn't think the frame was really good enough.
The results of the call are out on my birthday! What a fab birthday present that would be eh? lol! I am really crossing my fingers for this one! I have been slowly applying for DT work over the last couple of months, but so far, nothing! So wish me luck for this one!
This is what I made...

The Card..
The first Layout...

The second layout...

The first project...

The second project (a door hanger for my scrap room)...

Final Weekend Away Post ~ My Kits

Scrapbooking weekend away ~ My Kits

A while ago I designed and prepared a kit for the scrapbooking weekend away. Each lady recieved a kit upon arrival. I used Making Memories Flutter papers for this kit along with some stitching.
We had a challenge over the weekend to create a page using the kit - either copying it exactly following the instructions or making it totally different - at the end of the weekend I juded all of the pages and gave out a first and second prize.
I have to say all of the ladies did so well, and I felt very pleased that they had enjoyed doing it. Some of them had learnt new techniques as well and were really pleased with their end result.
This was my original page...
I choose Debbie as the winner...pictured below with her page. I chose her to win because she had never stitched or inked on a page before and she tried really hard..and the finnished result was fantastic!

I chose Sandra, for second prize, her layout was really beautiful and adapted to suit her own style.

Finally, all of the ladies with their finnished kit pages! Well done everyone! I feel very proud!

I have also been asked to make another kit for the next weekend away in October :D
So thats all from the scrapbooking weekend and I think thats enough blog posts for today lol!
Be back soon! Anna

~*Weekend Away Layouts*~

My Scrapbooking Weekend away Layouts
This is a page that I made for my album of me, using pictures from when I turned 21! I used Bo Bunny Sophie papers, which I love, they are so colourful! I used a Sizzix die cut for the swirl and some EK Success punches!

This was the first layout I did, using a pre-stitched beautiful piece of paper that I brought from Capture the Magic on the way there. Because the paper was so beautiful it didnt need alot more added to bit, I added my picture and title and some Prima pearls and some butterflys. This page is my title page for my album of me, which I worked on over the weekend.

The next page that I worked on, I cannot take the credit for at all..It is a scraplift...well basically I copied the whole page!! I loved it so much, so it is more or less identical to Wendy's layout which was on the scrap, paper, sissors blog a couple of weeks ago. It's not often that I copy a page, I would normally scraplift one part of a page and make the rest my own..but sometimes its nice not to think about what your doing!
Next I worked on a page using Crete Paper - paper doll range, very cute papers. I used some of the stickers from the range and stitched a flower.

This next page is also in my album 'all about me' but much later in life than I had been working on. I used pictures from when I was pregnant with Jack, seems forever ago! But its an important part of my life, so it has to be in this album.

Next, I worked on what I call 'my year book' album, which is basically using pictures of days out and general events that happen in the year.

For this page I used some pictures of when we went to Norwich for the day with Jack to watch Peppa Pig live! Lol!

I think this is my favourite page..it also won the competition for the page of the day on Saturday! I used American Crafts Dear Lizzy papers and some stickers from October afternoon.

This is my last completed page, which is a double page of our trip to Colchester Zoo a week or so ago. We had a really lovely day and I got loads of pictures, so I thought a double page was the best way to scrap it. I used the new Basic Grey Max and Whiskers range, which is perfect for animals!

Thats all for this post, back later with a post on my kits!

~*Weekend Away*~

Im back!!
From a lovely weekend away, just fun, food and scrapbooking! What more could you want! But of course I missed my boys lots!
It was a great weekend and I have lots to share, so I am going to spread it out over 2 or three posts.
In this post I will basically be bombarding you with pictures!
Anyway...we left about lunchtime on Friday afternoon to head up to the Claret Centre where the weekend was being held.
On the way we stopped off at Capture the Magic, to stock up on a few bits! We arrived there around half 3ish, we unpacked our things and saw our rooms before having a couple of hours to scrapbook before dinner..we then stayed up and scrapped until just before midnight, before heading up to bed.
Saturday was a beautiful day outside, so after lunch we took a walk (mainly for photo ops) as well as lots of scrapbooking! Sunday was quite a similar day...but before leaving we did a raffle and I judged my kit pages that everyone had made (more of that in a later post).
I did 8 and 3/4 pages this weekend lol..8 finnished and a 9th nearly there. Thats not a great deal of pages I know...lots of people did wayy more than me, but I was pleased with the end result of all of mine. On a normal scrapbooking day I would do 2 maybe 3, so that probably is the right amount for me at a weekend!
Anyway..so that was the weekend...now I am going to show you some general pictures that I took. Later I will do a post on the kits that I made for the weekend and the ladies finnished results, as well as the pages that I made!

Be back later!

Friday 14 May 2010

Im off....

For a whole weekend of scrapbooking!!!
Hopefully will have lots to share when I return on Sunday.
Have a great weekend everyone!

~Mama Razzi~

When I first saw the new Bo Bunny range of Mama Razzi papers. I have to say I was unsure, they just didnt jump out at me..so I left it a few weeks...
A few months ago I started an album all about me, starting from when I was born to now...and then hoping to keep continuing with it.
I came back to working on this album recently, and decided to take some pictures of me and my camera (very important to all scrappers of course!!)
Then I realised that was more or less the general idea of this range of papers, all about photography and pictures..so I brought some and used it to make this page, which I am very pleased with. So I've learnt a lesson not to judge papers on my first reaction! Now I have to say I love Mama Razzi..perfect for this page!

Thanks for looking.
