...was the twist of my last DT project at Twisted Sketches...very helpful that I had lots of pool pics from our recent holiday..so heres what I came up with...

I've used 'Splash' papers...a new line from Echo Park which are just as gorgous as always!

Butterfly Crafts June Challenge

Regular readers may know that I do an album per year of day to day celebrations, events and days out etc documenting the year. Until this year I had done a layout for every month of the year with a few little pictures and journalling. Well I was getting a bit bored of that so for this year I decided to do a Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter Layout instead.

So I used this month's sketch challenge to create my first 'Spring' layout!

Morning...just popping in today with another recent layout...another from our holiday in May!

Using more of my fav manufacturer Echo Park...this time from the 'splash' range.

This Week's...

Twisted Sketches sketch is up on the blog and here is my layout....

This week's twist was 'shine'...so I chose to make a sunshine...

This picture was taken on holiday in Spain this year and I have used Echo Park papers..

Yesterday was my birthday! I had a lovely day...I worked in the morning and had the whole nursery come in to my room to sing happy birthday, followed by a card, prezzie and a 'new look' (UK Clothes shop) bag shaped cake...amazing! I then went to a local spa for the afternoon with Lee which was lovely to chill out just us two! I had dinner in the evening with family and more cake!! Pictures appearing on layouts soon I'm sure!

Time Flys..

...when your having fun..where have the last 2 weeks gone? In the last two weeks I have been on a hen weekend and scrapbooking weekend, worked, scrapbooked and been on a few days out with the family! Anyway speaking of scrapbooking weekends...

Last weekend I went away Friday to Sunday scrapping, which was lovely, I do love going away to scrapbook you can get so much done...I think I did 10 pages this time.

I also designed a kit layout again, this time using Echo Park Summertime...here it is...

...and some close ups...

On this layout I used some glimmer misting, a little bit of stitching, and I created 3 rectangles using mostly the journalling cards..I then used them for the title, journalling and embellishments. I used lots of the stickers as well, with lots of 3d foam pads. The photo size that I used was 3x2.

Butterfly Crafts May Challenge...

A little bit late...but better than never! Here is my DT layout for this month's butterfly crafts challenge...
This month the challenge is to scrap using an ad as inspiration..you can see the ad and the rest of the DT's fab work HERE!

I photographed this layout before adding my journalling, which is now in strips in the gap in between the two photos and the embellishments...I'm really bad at missing out journalling..really must get better!!

Before my holiday I was lucky enough to win a giveway on Wendy's Blog, I used some of the lovely bits that I recieved on this layout including the homemade star toothpicks...how cute are they? There was also some butterfly ones...which I will be using soon too!

Back to Reality...

Well the last few weeks have been pretty hectic here...on Sunday we came back from our holiday to Spain...so I have alot of crafty catching up to do!! But it's ok...I have a whole day of scrapping this weekend and in a couple of weeks a whole weekend of it!!

Anyway for now I will share with you my last Twisted Sketches layout...the theme was 'Celebrate' as it was the 100th skecth! I decided that I wanted to theme my layout on the recent royal wedding that we have had here in the U.K. It was such a big and historic day for our country and I really enjoyed watching it, so I felt it needed scrapping!!

Thats all on the crafty front for now, but I have more assignments to be catching up with!

Here are some of my holiday snaps that will soon be making there way onto some layouts and into a holiday album!
