Given In...

I've seen so many of these 2010 favourite layouts/projects/cards posts over the last few days..so I've decided to do one too!! So here they are in no particular order..my favourite layouts of 2010...

I've noticed a real change in my layouts over the last year and 2010 has definatly been my most sucessful scrappy year with 4 pages featured in magazines, having several guest designer spots and taking on a few online challenges..I came close to having my first design team member space a couple of times..so this is definatly an aim for 2011! One of my first challenges for 2011 will be a guest DT spot..I am due to design for Banana Frog stamps in February.
I have really enjoyed looking at fellow scrappers favourite projects of 2010..so send me links to yours if you have one too!
Happy New Year..see you next year!

~Christmas Gift Ideas~

Where have the last few weeks gone!..I have had no time or inspiration for anything crafty...for weeks...so I started with a couple of simple gift ideas that I am using this year. I'm not one of these crafters who makes something for everyone...I do like a bit of retail therapy too! But these two ideas are both really easy and just seemed the perfect presnts for what I wanted them for...
Here's the first idea...I got the inspiration from this post and thought it would be a pefect present for Jack's teachers...a jar full of 'teacher treats'. I brought the jar from Sainsbury's for around £3.00, then brought various bits to put inside, such as little bags of sweets, hot chocolate sashets and bars of chocolate.

I used the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 range to decorate it..I cut out some of the patterned paper shape and also punched some flowers, I arranged them together also adding some Prima flowers and some buttons.

Another idea that I had, is sort of crafty..but doesn't involve alot of effort. My friend really loves Eeyore and has almost every Eeyore availible! So I decided to put something different together for her..an Eeyore holding her 'favourite things'..socks, chocolates..a keyring..make up etc. I just made sure that I could tie everything on with ribbon round it's neck.
There is also a little poem on the back of the picture of Jack.

A couple of easy ideas there..I'm off to a crop day on Saturday so some much needed time to catch up on my scrapping!
See you soon!

Owch!!

I really wanted to scrap a page of Lee's stay in hospital a few weeks back. I wanted the page to be decorative but also feature some information - I'm so bad at journalling!
I decided to use the Sarah's Cards sketch here..for this layout and my Minds eye Fine and Dandy papers here...the colours went so well with the picture. I stuck to the sketch, but flipped it round and only used one picture. Here it is...

...and some close ups...

Back this week, with another coupld of layouts and more news on 'The Big Event' which is one week away now! Arrrghh..wish me luck!

Lost and Found..

A few weeks ago I was sent some colour combinations for the Papermaze blog..
I chose one of them and came up with a layout. The layout that I created uses the MME Lost and Found collection and some stitching. Here it is...
I am going to frame this and give it to a friend (whose little girl it is)...
You can see more info on the colour challenges over on the scrap, paper, scissors blog here. You can also take part in the challenges and enter them for a chance to win a prize at the end of the month.
I'm off for a cropping day today followed by a baby shower...I feel like I haven't scrapped for a while, so I'm looking forward to today!
Happy Scrapping!

Catching Up...

Crazy, Manic and pretty darn busy, is how I would describe my life over the last 3 weeks, what with a scrapbooking weekend to prep for and go to, organising a scrapbooking event for later this month, working, me being poorly, Jack being poorly and Lee being in hospital......phheww!
So today I have decided to catch up all in one go...I have posted pictures of all of the layouts that I created during the scrapbooking weekend away 3 weeks ago. There are no close ups and very little information..so if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment and I'll get back to you! I really love reading all of your comments :D So here we go..

These first two pages were created using pictures from our little holiday to Centre Parcs this year..Above Bella Blvd and below Jillibean Soup.

Below, a friends baby shower pictures, different sort of layout for me..lots of pictures..using Echo Park.
One of my current favourite lines..Cosmo Cricket..I lifted the squares idea from here.

More Bella Blvd..

My gorgeous boy..using some October afternoon...

A fairly quick one..using some Bo Bunny..

Loosing my mojo, by this point of the weekend..so not my favourite page..using some Cosmo Cricket..

Using some very lovely Crate Paper..cutting up the paper flowers/doilies..

One of my favourites, American crafts city park..

That's, all of them and I'm up to date :D

Check out the Big Event Blog, Lou has created her class, there is a sneak peak on the blog today.

See you soon with a layout in a frame for a gift that I made yesterday..

~Kit Projects~

I created two kits for the weekend away, finally nearly 3 weeks later..here they are:
The first is a tag made using a doily and lots of 3-D foam pads..You can see the other ladies version of them in the previous post..

Next up was a layout, using My little shoebox papers, its fairly simple but I think the ladies enjoyed creating it (again, in the post below)..

Speaking of kits, take a look at our crop kit for my scrapbooking event in Suffolk, later this month here..

~Scrapping Weekend~

So, two weekends ago I went to a scrapbooking retreat in Norfolk.
I'm a bit late in posting but, today I'd like to show you a few pics from our weekend..

I created some kits for the weekend, which were included in the goody bags. Firstly I created a tag kit, this was what all of the ladies came up with.. mine is the one in the middle in the middle row..

..all very pretty I'm sure you agree, next up a layout that I created as well...here are the results.. it's amazing how you can take one kit and manage to come up with several different versions..it's brilliant..

My original layout isn't in this picture, but I will post it soon along with the other layouts that I created during this weekend..
That's all for now

Its Been too long..

..Since my last post..and what a hectic couple of weeks it has been..this being the main cause of the hecticness...

Yep, I've been too and from the hospital to visit my partner Lee for the last week. But hes home now and lots better! He went in with a piece of metal in his eye, which happened at his work, where he is a mechanic. So an operation and lots of eye drops later, hes home and were back to normal! This incident also happened while I was a the Create and Co crop, but I still managed to get two layouts done before I needed to dash off to the hospital..and here they are..

The first using Basic Grey Oliver papers and stickers and a few of the flowers, brads and ribbon that came with the create and co crop kit..they seemed to go well with the layout so I made a different use for them..
I also did some sewing, which I haven't done on a layout for ages!

The second using the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness range, which I LOVE! A quick simple page to record Lee's surprise birthday party in September. I'm not 100% sure on this layout, but I was in a bit of a state whilst finishing it off as I had just received the call about Lee!

Also over on the blog of the Big Event, today we have revealed our kit for the day, you can see all of the details here. We still have a few spaces left so if your in the Suffolk area of the UK we would love to see you there!
A couple of weekends ago, I also went for a scrapping weekend away, so I have lots to share from that, including the layouts I created and my kits that I created for the weekend..so will be catching up on that over the next couple of days!
